Our linear rail stage allows you to add linear motion to your tool or fixture in a quick and easy kit. It uses linear bushings to create accurate, smooth, and easy motion without the alignment frustrations of linear guides. We have used it to create multi-station tools or fixtures where you need a part to float on one axis. This linear rail stage is extremely tolerant of inconsistencies in flatness of mounting surfaces and will work on almost anything that's nominally flat. One of the easiest ways to use it is to mount the linear rail stage to a large baseplate, forming the base of your tool, and then use a smaller baseplate as the moving carriage of the linear stage. The kit is compatible with any of our 25mm grid base plates. Rail width is simply set by mounting position, and rail length can be adjusted shorter by cutting with a chop saw if needed.
