Platinum White Tiger Shovelnose Catfish (Pseudoplatystoma tigrinum)

Often referred to as "platinum", this is a white color mutation. Instead of the normal silver body, the base is very white to golden color. This is a very rare morph, that randomly pops up from breeding thousands of offspring.  Pseudoplatystoma tigrinum, the tiger sorubim or caparari is a species of long-whiskered catfish native to the Amazon Basin in South America. This species grows to 130 cm in total length.
