Collared Shift Dress

White and navy shift dress from the 1970s. Navy blue pointed collar. Faux, triangle pockets with white buttons. Sleeveless. Lined only above bust (but not very see-through otherwise). Hook and zipper closure on back. No size tag, but fits like a size small. See measurements below.  I keep having dreams of running away, of leaving New York and being somewhere sunny, and slow, and satisfying. In these dreams, I've already left. I'm somewhere else, with little else but the clothes on my back and the pennies in my purse (Proenza Schouler PS1). I'm meandering around unfamiliar cobblestone streets, my phone doesn't work, and I'm wholly unaffected by the time, by where I have to be, who I need to answer, what I need to do tomorrow, or who I may encounter. To put it simply, I am not worried. And as I write this, with my left nail in between my teeth, jaw clenched, and yearning for a glass of wine, I'm realizing how relentlessly uneasy I feel right now, always, outside of my dreams.  I'm not su
