Yellow Midi Dress

Yellow vintage Liz Claiborne dress from the 1980s. Black trimming along neckline, bust, and waist. Pleating down the center. Empire waist. Sleeveless. Zipper closure on back. Size US 6. Fits like a medium, but would probably fit a small too. *Dress is pinned on for photos I am at peace with my past but do not wish to revisit it. I do not want to reread my old journals, or scroll through my Snapchat Memories, or walk past my old apartments. I do not want to go to the Blue Bottle on Greenwich Street, or Battery City Park, and I do not want to take the 6 Train. I do not want to confront the memories that resurface when doing any of these things, so I take longer routes, and scarier trains, and stuff all the rest of it into a big bag under my bed, never to be seen again.  I do all this in spite of not having any painful memories attached to these things I avoid. I harbor no anger, disdain, or ill-will towards my past and its parts, but I prefer not to revisit it. I’m too much of a hoarder
