Do not use Teflon tape on this pump. No warranty on this pump. 8 gauge wire must be used. No alligator clips used with this pump. Thank you.        Remco 7 gpm 100 psi on demand should be powered by a deep cycle marine battery.  We recommend using 8 gauge wire, a 30 amp waterproof switch and extra fuses in the waterproof fuse holder.  This is a 1/2" FPT x 1/2" FPT ported pump.  We recommend that you use liquid Teflon and PVC barbs on the head of the pump.        This pump will perform at maximum efficiency using 200' of 5/8" chemical hose such as our red, blue or yellow 5/8" Flex Tech RT or the red or blue Kuri Tec hose, 0040, 1550 and 2550 nozzles installed in a JROD connected to a BV08RB.80.         Use our 1" non-collapsible suction hose assembly with the original slotted PVC inlet filter for sodium hypochlorit
