What is TDS? Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) are the total amount of mobile charged ions, including minerals, salts or metals dissolved in a given volume of water.  TDS which is based on conductivity, is expressed in parts per million (ppm).  TDS includes any conductive inorganic elements present other than the pure water molecules (H20) and suspended solids. TDS affects everything that consumes, lives in or uses water, from fish and plants to plumbing and laboratories. Water with a high TDS is known as hard water. Acid rain created hard water. Hard acidic water then is your greatest enemy. It will destroy every fond hope you have by striking you down when you should be enjoying the fruits of your labors.
