The Canon 518 is a classic Super 8 camera with exceptional stock features, including sharp Canon glass optics, a 5:1 zoom lens, and both auto and full manual exposure controls. Auto Exposure Meter ModificationUpgraded with a modern internal voltage regulator; you’ll never need to fuss with a separate meter again. The old system relied on battery voltage, which made consistent calibration nearly impossible. With this mod, the meter now runs off the camera’s AA batteries, giving it a steady, regulated power source for reliable performance. The auto-exposure system is set up for two film speeds—50 and 200 ASA—and it also works great with 500 ASA.
