ProtoStax Camera Kit for Waveshare RPi IR-CUT Camera

  Add a Waveshare RPi IR-CUT Camera & Tripod mount to your ProtoStax Enclosure with this Extension Kit.  The kit comes with a Top Plate with mounting holes and cutouts for the Waveshare RPi IR-CUT Camera (or Waveshare RPi IR-CUT Camera (B)) along with Side Plate(s) with #1/4-20 mounting holes to attach to a tripod.  Simply replace the existing pieces of your ProtoStax Enclosure with the ones from this kit.  Works with any ProtoStax Enclosure for Raspberry Pi(B+/4B/A+/Zero). Shown with ProtoStax Enclosure for Raspberry Pi A+ in the images above.  [Note: to use the camera with Raspberry Pi Zero / Zero W / Zero WH, you need to buy a camera cable suitable for the Raspberry Pi Zero, such as: Raspberry Pi Zero v1.3 Camera Cable] The Top Plate has a cutout for a cable to toggle the Normal/Night-Vision mode, which you can easily then control via a GPIO of your Raspberry Pi.  Note: This Kit works with the RPi IR-CUT Camera(B) as well, but beware that it is NOT easy to mount, as the RPi IR-CUT Camera(B) has a much larger lens that gets in the way of the mounting holes. For this camera, it would be easier for you to assemble the camera and IR lights first (as you would normally with this camera), and then use double-sided tape to attach it to the Top Plate of the ProtoStax Camera Kit for Waveshare RPi IR-CUT Camera.   The example photos in the images above show the Night-Vision mode in action in low-light conditions. The night-vision mode was triggered using a GPIO pin using Python. You can also select the mode (normal vs. night-vision) in your boot config, in which case you don't need the GPIO or cable.    Technical Details:  Refer to the Waveshare RPi IR-CUT Camera page   ** ProtoStax Enclosure not included - you need to get that if you don't already have it.
