Mid-Century Modern Vintage European Abstract and Expressionistic Coastal Landscape in Blues Oil Painting, Signed by Polish Artist Bernard Lewandowski
Bernard Lewandowski (1910-1989) was a 20th-century modern Polish artist who lived and worked in both Poland and France during World War II. Listed in Davenport's Art Reference, Lewandowski's paintings were frequently auctioned in the U.S. in the 1960s during his visits from Europe. This exceptional Expressionist piece, created sometime between 1945 and 1950, showcases Lewandowski's vibrant color play and dynamic brushstrokes in this coastal landscape. The artwork substrate is panel. This piece is in very good condition, with only minor foxing on the reverse, which is common for a p
