Chinese Elm Tree (Ulmus Parvifolia)
$595.00
Chinese elm, known botanically as Ulmus Parvifolia is a large ornamental deciduous shade tree that is native to China, Korea, and Japan. If you want a tough, hardy, upright tree that grows quickly to 40 to 60 feet tall and wide and is easy to transplant, this is the tree for you. It provides interest in the winter through its exfoliating bark that appears in shades of brown, tan, gray, olive, or cinnamon. Plant in the full sun to partial shade and in well-drained soil for the best results. It tolerates being planted in wet sites and is moderately salt tolerant. One drawback is that it has lower wind tolerance, but still does well in windy conditions when mature.
