Photinia fraseri is a large growing shrub with dark, shiny leaves and red new leaves. Large clusters of small white flowers appear mid-spring through early summer. They grow best in the morning sun but will acclimate to full sun if planted in fall or winter. They prefer well-drained soil and acid-based fertilizer four times a year. They can be sheared into hedges, or grown free form.
