Pleasant Company White Body Samantha Doll – Light Brown Eyes, Light Brown Hair (1980s)

This is an original Pleasant Company Samantha doll from the mid-1980s. She features the rare white body construction used only during the earliest years of American Girl production. She has beautiful light brown eyes paired with light brown hair, a less common variation that gives her a softer look than the standard dark brown-eyed Samanthas. Condition: White cloth body shows some age-related spots and marks (see photos). Limbs are not factory tight, but  secure and the doll stands with support. Sleep eyes function properly. Hair is soft, brushable, and retains its shine. Comes as shown, with the Doll Stand The second photo is to show the difference in the hair and eyes.  Even with age wear, this Samantha remains a wonderful piece of Pleasant Company history and a fantastic find for any American Girl collector.
