Wehani® Rice
An aromatic rice, Wehani is the result of a ten year breeding program, started with an Indian Basmati-type rice seed. Cooked Wehani has the scent of hot buttered peanuts. This is a brown rice, with the nutritious bran layer intact. An interesting surprise is that it turns an earthy honey-red color when cooked. Put all ingredients in pot with tight-fitting lid. Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 45 minutes. Do not remove lid. Remove from heat and allow to sit covered for 10 minutes.
