Road to Vesper, our second collaboration with San Diego's Oddish Wine, is an oak barrel-aged sour with locally-grown cabernet sauvignon and merlot grapes from Pauma Valley Vineyard in Valley Center. This beer was fermented on fresh grape skins from one of Oddish’s natural wines before being aged in red wine barrels for 15 months. The final result features tastes of rich Cabernet Sauvignon that meld with bright sweet orange and a touch of funk. Bridging the worlds of wine and beer, Road to Vesper offers a harmonious blend of oak, fruit, and terroir-driven yeast complexity in every sip.
