Is anything more beautiful than Japanese maples in autumn? Years ago we had the privilege of living in a home where the previous owner had planted lots of different Japanese maples under the shade of big oak trees. I enjoyed them so much! I love every shade of these delicate beauties from golds to orange to red and even purple. This colorway is reminiscent of all the different varieties of Japanese maples in autumn. It's a Splashed and Speckled colorway, so it isn't likely to pool.  YARN BASEI dyed this colorway on Stained Glass Fingering, which is a soft and squishy 2-ply yarn made of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. The thing that makes Stained Glass Fingering uniquely wonderful is that one ply is made of white wool while the other alternates between black and white, so when I dye the yarn, it looks like leaded stained glass. Each 100 gram skein has 400 yards. YARN FACTSJapanese Maples on Stained Glass FingeringGarden CollectionSplashed and Speckled Colorway450 yards / 3.5 oz / 4
