JONES' LES VENDEUSES DE TISSUE Hand Dyed on Sock Perfection - Block Variegated Yarn

This colorway was inspired by a painting of Lois Mailou Jones called Les Vendeuses de Tissue. I left the title in the original French, but it simply means the fabric sellers. Jones was an amazing artist who painted from early childhood until she was in her 90s. She moved to Paris in the 1930s and later married a Haitian artist. She spent many years living in Haiti and painting scenes of everyday life there like this one.  YARN BASEI dyed it on Sock Perfection, which is perfect for everything from socks to shawls to sweaters and beyond. It's made of extra-soft superwash merino and nylon.
