Lothlorien was inspired by the forest of the elves in The Lord of the Rings, described as a place at once ancient and new, beautiful and mournful, wild and civilized. The colors feel rich and earthy and full of ancient tradition. There are several shades of green, chocolate brown, silver, gold, and eggplant.It is a block variegated colorway with about 3 inches of each color. YARN BASEI dyed it on my Buttery Soft DK base, which is made of 45% baby alpaca, 45% extra-soft 19.5 micron merino, and 10% silk, and it really lives up to its name!  This is a variegated yarn made of rich, earthy colors.
