Masaccio painted Tribute Money in Florence in 1425. It was my club colorway in February 2025, and I really wanted to share this one with everyone. I focused my attention on all the brilliantly colored robes from Christ and the disciples. You can learn more about the painting here.YARN BASEI dyed this colorway on Stained Glass Fingering, which is a soft and squishy 2-ply yarn made of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. The thing that makes it uniquely wonderful is that one ply is made of white wool while the other alternates between black and white, so when I dye the yarn, it looks like leaded stained glass. Each 100 gram skein has 400 yards.
