It's just a simple bag to carry some of your stuff - we aren't here to micro-manage your personal organizational skills (or lack of).  New design using Lizard topo lines! These are custom made by Nittany Mountain Works in central Pennsylvania! The history of the ditty bag is steeped in sailors lore, some say the origin is 'ditto' bag because you can carry two of each essential item. In those days, needles and thread would be a common essential item to bring with you on a long voyage. These days, a back-up battery, some trail snacks, a bar or two, some random daypack essentials (only you know what kind of random stuff is in your daypack) or a spare car key may be on your list.
