Nerikomi Class with Jiaxi

**This is an Intermediate level class requiring high levels of focus on precision work. Participants should come already understanding the basic skills of clay wedging and slab rolling.** Nerikomi is back at Pursuits Studio with an extended class featuring three new patterns to explore.  The Nerikomi technique involves layering, slicing, and assembling colored clays to create intricate patterns that run through an entire piece. This class will feature three Nerikomi pattern making demos and hands-on work time. Participants will leave with a basic understanding of Nerikomi techniques and multiple finished ceramic pieces.  Jiaxi is a Jiaotai/Nerikomi potter based in Portland, Oregon. She moved to the U.S. in 2024 with her family, and is now a full-time potter.
