Mint is often used as a garnish in drinks and paired with fresh fruits or desserts to add a fresh flavor. Mint is also used as a seasoning for lamb and other Middle Eastern dishes. Storage Mint should be stored at 32°F (0°C) with a relative humidity of ninety-five to a hundred percent and with a light mist. The typical shelf life is two to three weeks. Mint is highly sensitive to ethylene, a naturally occurring gas that regulates ripening. Mint should not be stored with high ethylene-producing products to extend shelf life and avoid leaf yellowing. Mint produces a low level of ethylene. Mint is not sensitive to chilling injury and
