NECTARINE (PREORDER)

Nectarine aka "Shaved Peach", "Fuzzless Peach", "You-Tao", "油桃" Nectarine is a stone fruit that looks similar to yellow peach but without the fuzz. The skin is golden yellow with blushes of red and the flesh is either pearl white or yellow. Nectarine tastes similar to peaches but much sweeter and firmer in texture. Nectarine is available from late spring to mid-fall and early winter to early spring. Handling Tip Selection Nectarine is firm and plump but gives slightly when pressured. The fruit is without traces of green and shows a background color of orange-gold. Nectarine has no signs of bruises, decays, or shriveling. Storage Nectarine should be stored at 30°F - 32°F (-1°C - 0°C) with a relative humidity of ninety to ninety-five percent and no mist. The typical shelf life is two to three weeks.
