Orange Pepper aka "Orange Bell Pepper", "Orange Sweet Pepper", "Cheng-Jiao", "橙椒" Orange pepper is a plump, bell-shaped vegetable with a tangy, fruity taste. Inside contains white piths and a cluster of small white seeds. The seeds are edible but are generally discarded. All sweet pepper starts green at the immature stage and turns color as they mature. Orange pepper is the mature form of sweet pepper. Orange pepper is sweeter than green pepper and much more similar to yellow pepper and red peppers' fruity flavor. Orange pepper is best suited for salads, sauces, and stuffed. Orange pepper is available year-round. Handling Tip Selection Orange pepper is firm, plump, and bright orange. Orange pepper shows no signs of crack, decay, or shriveled skin.
