~25 lbs Yellow Peach aka "Huang-Tao", "黄桃" Yellow peach has a sphere shape and yellow-orange skin with a red blush. The skin feels fuzzy to the touch and the flesh is golden yellow. Yellow peach has a tart flavor that softens as the fruit matures. Yellow peach is mostly used for baking and canning. Yellow peach is available year-round from various locations. Handling Tip Selection Yellow peach is firm but gives slightly when pressured. Yellow peach has a pleasant fruity fragrance. Avoid yellow peach that has a green color around the stem or has shriveled skin. The red blush does not indicate ripeness. Storage Yellow peach should be stored at 31°F - 32°F (-0.5°C - 0°C) with a relative humidity of ninety to ninety-five percent and no mist. The typical shelf life is two to three weeks. Yellow peach is sensitive to ethylene, a naturally occurring gas that regulates ripening. Do not store yellow peach with high ethylene-producing products to extend shelf life and delay softening.
