Peanut is usually eaten as a snack by roasting, salting, or honey glazing. They can also be cooked and added as a crunchy bite to your sweet or savory dish. Peanut is available year-round. Handling Tip Selection The peanut shell has a uniform color without any cracks or blemishes. Storage Peanuts should be stored at 50°F (10°C) with a relative humidity of fifty-five to seventy percent and no mist. The typical shelf life is up to ten months. Exposure to moisture or high relative humidity should be avoided. Peanut is sensitive to odor and should not be stored with strong aroma products.
