Pulp fiction refers to a genre of racy, action-based stories published in cheaply printed magazines from around 1900 to the 1950s, mostly in the United States. If you haven't noticed, the cover art for these stories are wild. Generally they are overly dramatic but there is a certain lost romanticism that is lost on today's more subdued and minimalist book covers. These eye-catching and often time busy covers make for absolutely enthralling jigsaw puzzles. It gets its name from the paper it was printed on. Magazines and books featuring such stories were typically published using cheap, ragged-edged paper made from wood pulp. These magazines were sometimes called pulps. The more you know...
