For this puzzle, Paola Hirou created several illustrations depicting different places in the Brittany region, such as the city of Saint Malo, the Pink Granite Coast, and the Gulf of Morbihan with its typical orange-sailed rigging. It also features an illustration of a lighthouse, like the dozens and dozens found along the Breton coast. Paola Hirou trained in illustration in Lyon and experimented with various techniques and mediums such as painting, sculpture, and digital drawing. Today, her drawing style has evolved towards a more graphic and refined approach, using digital flat colors or gouache. She places great importance on color, deliberately limiting her palette to a few carefully chosen shades.
