The standard Roberts bibliographies report there were only 2,011 copies of the first edition printed. Signed "With all the good wishes of | Kenneth Roberts" on his bookplate, which is pasted to the inside front cover. Roberts-signed copies are scare, although this is a later signature, since Roberts didn't use this book plate until after he started writing his novels and didn't make a practice of providing signed book plates until later, when the demand caused him to stop flat-signing books that were sent to him.
