Paint Inspection Gauge QualiPIG

QualiPIG is a Paint Inspection Gauge designed for situations where traditional electromagnetic measuring methods are ineffective, particularly for coatings on wood, concrete, plastics, and other non-metallic substrates. Testing with the QualiPIG Paint Inspection Gauge follows the standardized wedge cut procedure: the coating is sliced at a defined angle, penetrating the substrate. The layer thickness (s) is then calculated based on the slope projection (b) of the cut face, determined using a measuring microscope, and the cutting angle (α). This method allows for determining the individual layer thickness of multilayer systems.
