James Pepper Old Pepper Bourbon pays homage to Colonel James E. Pepper's legacy, renowned for his dedication to producing the finest whiskey in Kentucky. The 'Old Pepper' label, once proudly endorsed by Colonel Pepper himself, was celebrated as 'The Oldest and Best Brand of Whiskey made in Kentucky.' Not only was it the first label in Kentucky to be bottled at the distillery, but Colonel Pepper's innovation, the 'signature strip stamp,' became a cornerstone of quality assurance, later influencing the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897.
