Japanese Lacquerware Makie Jubako Bento Box with Stand

Vintage, Japanese Jubako Bento Box with 4 Layers, lid and stand. This lunch box is made of wood with black joboji urushi lacquer and hand painted silver and apricot colored swirled and dotted designs around the sides of each bento box and on the lid. The entire Jubako, when fully assembled, measures 9 3/4" high and 8" square. Each of the four bento box layers measure 2" high and 7 1/8" square. The box is in very good condition, with 2 small chips on 2 inside corners of the lid (see photos for details). A lovely set for a holiday celebration!
