Studio Art Glass Vase by NOUROT, Red Satin Series

Nourot Art Glass Studio, "Red Satin Series", cased glass, lipped Vase with black foot dated 2000. This wonderful vase measures 3" (7.5cm) in diameter and 5 5/8" (14.2cm) high. The special formula for making this layered or cased glass piece is a long-held family secret developed by Michael Nourot from is education at the Venini Glassworks in Murano, Italy. (see details of Nourot below) This vase is white glass inside with cased layers of red, 24K gold and silver leaf then molded into this slender, large lipped vase and then given a heavy glass foot that allows the bowl to stand slightly aloft and balance its shape. Marked on bottom: Nourot, Mi, 12, 2000, ACC (Ann Corcoran) to indicate the series letters, piece #, year and artist collaborator. In excellent condition as shown in photos.
