"Cinderella, or The Little Glass Slipper" was written by French author Charles Perrault (1628-1703). In works derived from pre-existing folktales, he laid the foundations for a new literary genre, the Fairy Tale. "Cinderella" is one of his best-known and most enchanting stories. Brought to life in the form of a mouse, Cinderella is made of fine blonde mohair plush with realistic shading, resin hands and feet, German glass eyes, handsewn whiskers, and a leather tail. Measuring approximately 3" tall, she is jointed at the neck and shoulders. A built-in metal stand provides effortless display. Cinderella comes outfitted for the ball in a lovely gown made of the finest pure silk fabrics.
