Picasso Bug Print
The Picasso bug (Sphaerocoris annulusis), is the sort of insect that really makes you wonder what nature is up to. It's almost unreal color and the design is a warning to predators that they can emit a noxious odor when disturbed. Although they look a bit like beetles, Picasso bugs are true to their common name and belong to the "true bug" order of insects (Hemiptera), and so are more closely related to planthoppers, aphids, and cicadas. All my works are hand drawn colored pencil illustrations. They are Giclee printed on 100% cotton fibre, 290 gsm acid-free, conservation grade, Italian-milled fine art paper. All art illustrated by Rachel Diaz-Bastin. Available in 3 sizes. Each fits standard sized mats and frames. All prints signed by the artist.
