Rose-ringed Parakeets

A pair of Rose-ringed Parakeets lounging in the striking foliage of a Gulmohar (flame) tree. These social birds live in the tropics of Africa and Asia, and have an unmistakable, squawking call. The male sports a black neck-ring and pink nape-band set against shades of lime and jade green feathers. All my works are hand drawn colored pencil illustrations.
