This butterfly look-alike is actually a planthopper (Calyptoproctus stigma). It is such a small species (no bigger than a housefly), that it's beautifully-patterned wings could be easily missed on a stroll through the tropical forests of Belize and Guatemala. All my works are hand drawn colored pencil illustrations. They are Giclee printed on 100% cotton fibre, 290 gsm acid-free, conservation grade, Italian-milled fine art paper.
