Mama Bear

• Original painting by artist Rachel Urista• Acrylics, spray paint, and pencil on wood panel• 48"x48”  inches• Signed on back  This one was years in the making, starting with giant brushstrokes to cover the oversized 4ftx4ft wood. The feeling was super energetic and I couldn't wait to see what would come next. Almost immediately, a large bear figure stood out to me. I kept working at it, was it a brown bear? A polar bear? What was it doing here? Working from this abstract and intuitive way is quite a journey.  The circle and balls of color were there from the beginning, that is, it was as if the bear was juggling!
