(check your vehicle's manufacturer weight rating).The aerodynamic, extruded aluminum cross bars are 3" x 1.5" oblong shaped with built-in channels top and bottom for mounting optional accessories. The aerodynamic shape helps minimize noise and increase fuel efficiency. The cross bars can be protected using the included rubber bar guards that insert into the top channels. The mounting uprights have an 8" extra wide base and the rack is 5.5" tall overall. The aluminum upright bases are approximately 1/8" thick at the base and fasten into the slot on the bottom of the cross bars.
