The extruded aluminum cross bars are 3" x 1.5" oblong shaped with built-in channels top and bottom for mounting optional accessories. The aerodynamic shape helps minimize noise and increase fuel efficiency. The included rubber bar guards insert into the top channels to help protect the crossbars. The mounting uprights have an 8" wide base and the rack is 11" tall overall.
