Turquoise Rivière Necklace

These beads, meticulously arranged by size, are smallest at the nape of the neck and gradually increase towards the front. This creates a lovely round shape that rests along the collarbone. The restoration of this vintage piece includes a hand-wrought clasp and beads, all solid 14k.  Rivière translates to river in French, an early 18th century style named in reference to the way that the graduated stones flow across the neck. Necklace length is 16", including the clasp.
