Needles Blue Chrysocolla Cabochon This Chrysocolla-Chalcedony, sometimes called gem silica, is from the Blue Danube Mine out of Lake Havasu in the Needles, CA area. The location belongs to the Needles Gem and Mineral Club.  When the claim was active, only club members and their guests could dig for this rare stone.  In the last few years, this material has become exceedingly rare, with rough or slabs being very difficult to find. This cabochon features ribbons and patches of intense blue Needles Blue Chrysocolla-Chalcedony, chrysocolla, and malachite within a white host stone. Polished to a shiny luster.
