Amazing Grace In All Twelve Major Keys
We want our students to play comfortable in any key; and there's already so much repertoire in which pianists of all levels can experience all twelve major keys on the keyboard. So why this package?Although there is repertoire available for all major keys, I haven't yet seen a resource where students get to play the same piece in all twelve major keys. But why is this skill important? The ability to transpose songs is a valuable skill. Imagine your student is playing on their church's worship team. But the leader changes the key at the last minute because the singer has a sore throat. A confident pianist will be like: "That's fine! Let's take it down a step."But how do we get there? How do we help our students become so confident that they can play any song in any key?All skills are built progressively. The first step is always imitation. We didn't learn how to cook in one day; we watched our parents do it and we copied their steps until we became confident enough to make our own lunch.
