Curly Black Walnut Bowl

This piece of walnut has the most amazing grain, with curly ripples, chatoyance, and strong tonal banding.  The colors and patterns change as you look at it from different angles and changing light direction.  Although imminently useful as a candy dish, nut bowl, or similar use, this is another case where you don't want to hide the natural beauty of the wood. The bowl is 8" across by 2" high and is finished with food safe oils and wax.
