Large black walnut bowl

This larger bowl brings out the richness of black walnut, both in its heartwood and sapwood. The bowl is 10.5" x 4.5" and highlights a small, stabilized knot with bark inclusion. The rim is thin and inviting to reach into the inner space of the bowl.  It can be used as a serving bowl for salads, fruit, breads and other foods you serve your guests.  It is finished with food safe oils and wax which brings out a low-luster finish to enhance the look and feel of the natural grain.  This bowl came from a tree that was the victim of the 2021 tornado in Horsham, Pennsylvania.  It is signed on the bottom by the artist along with the wood species.
