Maple vessel with natural edge

The wood grain, natural edge and overall form of this piece combine to result in a dramatic example of nature's beauty enhanced by the wood art.  This maple vessel is approximately 8" wide by 10" tall with an irregular natural edge (no bark).  There is a lot going on with the grain and texture of the wood:  some very strong ripply pattern with clear chatoyance, bark inclusions, feather grain, and the organic form of the natural edge.  While this vessel has something of a vase form, it is not waterproof and should be used with dried flowers...  or by itself in a dramatic placement.  It is signed on the bottom by the artist.
