The Manfrotto Nano Stand is an exceptionally versatile ultra-compact mic stand. It can extend up to a tad over 7' feet high (2.16 m) but thanks to an ingenious reverse folding leg design, it collapses down to a mere 18.9 inches (48 cm) – compact enough to fit in a lot of carry-on bags – and weighs just 2.1 lbs (0.95 kg). The versatile leg design also allows adjusting its footprint size from relatively small to quite large. In tight spaces, such as between seating rows, it can stand in as little as 12-14 inches (~30 - 35 cm) of floor space but expands to a whopping 39.4 inch (100 cm) circular footprint for greater stability in more open spaces. With legs fully extended it has a rated load capacity of 3.3 lbs (1.5 kg).* For lighter loads such as a microphone and wireless pack, the legs can safely be positioned at any extension that makes sense for your application.
