It's very sustainable and has been used for centuries by people in Asia and South America to make organic natural pillows and bedding without any need for processing or traditional cultivation. The kapok ceiba tree's massive thorns help protect it against damage and have become part of legends and lores in many cultures (such as in mythology in Thailand).
