We are free to be soft, sensitive and have moments of weakness and vulnerability. Figures are placed against a neon orange background which represents the boldness, strength and toughness of the black woman. Each facet of us is beautiful, complex, and we deserved to be who we are without judgement or need of acceptance from others. Choosing Lori Harvey is also intentional, as a beautiful black woman that continues to be analyzed by the public for simply being, reflects the experience of most modern day black women.
