The Lakes of the Clouds are two stunning alpine ponds on the slopes of Mount Washington, New Hampshire's highest peak. Both lie on the edge of rocky ravine, perched above the world and reflecting the sky. I captured the 'upper' of the two lakes in late afternoon light with a few rain clouds sweeping by in the distance.
