Bernard’s farm is certified organic, and year after year his lots stand out for their balance, clarity, and sweetness—qualities that make this coffee shine as both espresso and filter. Our relationship with Bernard began back in 2015 at a producer competition in Capucas. Out of more than 100 coffees, his was a clear standout. Since then, we’ve come to admire not only the consistency of his coffee but also his dedication to the people who make it possible. This year, Bernard purchased a new vehicle to make life easier for his pickers—helping them transport both themselves and the freshly harvested coffee cherries.
